Heartland Campus Solutions ECSI
Heartland ECSI is the loan servicer and third-party biller for the Federal Perkins loan and institutional loans that WVU’s Financial Aid Office awards and disburses. The borrowers’ relationship with Heartland ECSI begins when he or she signs the promissory note and does the entrance counseling online. When the borrower leaves WVU, he or she will complete an exit interview online at Heartland ECSI.
Other services that Heartland ECSI offers for borrowers are:
- Billing (paper and electronic)
- Disclosure statements
- Payment processing (mail, phone or online)
Forms to apply for deferment, forbearance, and cancellation/postponement are available online at https://www.ecsi.net/bwr/forms/index.html.

Note: Students receiving Federal Direct Loans should contact the WVU Financial Aid Office for questions or assistance at 304-293-5242 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Office of Student Accounts and ECSI can only assist students with Perkins and Institutional Loan questions. All questions relating to the awarding or disbursement of any WVU loan should first be directed to the Financial Aid Office.
