Changes to the Fall 2014 Payment Deadline


West Virginia University’s Office of Student Accounts reminds students of several critical dates related to the tuition billing and payment process. Students who miss these dates are at risk of being removed from their scheduled classes.

All students are required to pay at least 60 percent of their Fall 2014 bill by Wednesday, Aug. 13, which is earlier than in past years. Financial aid such as loans and scholarships, in addition to tuition waivers, personal payments, or pending third party contracts will all count toward the total calculation.

The critical dates include:

• Monday, July 14, 2014: Students will receive their first billing notification for fall 2014 via MIX
• Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014: Students must have paid at least 60 percent of their total tuition and fee assessment
• Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014: Students who do not satisfy the 60 percent minimum payment requirement will be removed from all registered classes.

Students are encouraged to look at their accounts on-line (through MIX) to determine their account status. Students will also receive direct communications from the University leading up to the Aug. 13 deadline via email, postcards, etc.
