West Virginia University has partnered with TransferMate to provide our international students with a secure payment method that simplifies the payment process.
- Link international payments directly to your WVU MyAccount (via your WVU Portal)
- Pay with accounts in your home country
- Avoid unnecessary bank fees and receive favorable foreign exchange rates.
- Track the progress of your payment anytime. Transfermate’s multilingual customer support is available to help 24 hours a day using multiple channels.
To Make an International Payment
Payments made through TransferMate are sent to WVU once TransferMate receives them. The payment is then automatically posted to your student account. To avoid late payment fees, allow time for international payment processing prior to payment due dates. Please be aware, TransferMate payments cannot be utilized for the Tuition Payment Plan.
- To start the payment process, log in to your WVU MyAccount via your WVU Portal using your WVUID username and password.
- Once logged in, click on the "PAY YOUR BILL HERE!" button.
- Click on the "Make Payment" tab on the top of your Home screen
- Enter the desired payment amount in US Dollars and click continue.
- Next, choose "TransferMate INTL" from the payment methods dropdown menu and click continue. Follow the instructions provided by TransferMate to complete the payment from there.

Please note: Brazilian, Chinese, South African and Indian students will be required to send supporting documents, which can easily be uploaded.
